Aventine Renewable Energy - Mt. Vernon LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Aventine Renewable Energy Holdings, Inc., was purchased by Valero Renewable Fuels Company, LLC in March 2014. The acquisition of Aventine represents the 11th corn ethanol plant in Valero Renewables' portfolio and is its second acquisition of a corn ethanol plant in Indiana.
