Consumer Electronics Retailer Wins Defense Verdict Against EEOC

North America - United States | North America | United States - Tennessee

A consumer electronics and home appliance retailer won a defense verdict in a four-day federal jury trial in Tennessee. The case, brought by the EEOC, alleged retaliation by the company related to the performance-based termination of an assistant manager in one of the retailer's stores. The Court also denied the EEOC's Motion for a new trial, finding the jury verdict was well supported by the evidence and that there was no error in the jury instructions.
