Amicus Brief Rebuts Defense of Partisan Gerrymander

Our firm served as lead counsel on an amicus brief to the United States Supreme Court rebutting the Wisconsin Legislature's defense of its 2011 partisan gerrymander. The case, was the fourth challenge to partisan redistricting the Supreme Court has heard since 1986 and offered detailed statistical analysis to quantify how badly the partisan gerrymander discriminates against minority party voters.  Gill v. Whitford, United States Supreme Court, decided on standing grounds without reaching merits June 2018.
