Furniture Manufacturer Settles FLSA and Indiana Wage Payment Collective Action Lawsuit

A commercial furniture manufacturer faced a collective and class action lawsuit filed by a former employee. The suit asserted claims involving timely pay for hours worked in violation of the FLSA and Indiana Wage Payment statute and certification of a class of about 200 employees. Our Labor & Employment Team obtained dismissal of the state law claims and helped the client reach a favorable settlement with the named individual plaintiff and the collective and class claims were dropped.
