Decades-Old Claim on Deceased Evangelist’s Estate Barred by Appeals Court

An heir of a deceased evangelist was barred by the Indiana Court of Appeals from opening the decedent’s estate more than 20 years after his death. The heir claimed that the estate’s property wasn’t properly distributed and that the estate owned certain causes of action but our firm's attorneys successfully argued, under the Laches doctrine, that the heir’s claims were untimely.
