Hormel Foods Announces Sale of Nebraska Pork Production Facility

North America - United States | North America | United States - Nebraska

Hormel Foods Corporation has agreed to sell its 1,500-employee pork processing plant in Fremont, Nebraska, to WholeStone Farms LLC, a newly formed consortium of small hog farmers. Our firm is advising Hormel in the sale, which aligns with the company's brand as a global food company.

WholeStone has agreed to sell pork produced in Fremont exclusively to Hormel for at least three years, providing Hormel with a strong supply chain. The purchase of the plant will allow the group of hog farmers to recognize greater profits from the hogs they raise. Plant workers and management will keep their jobs at the plant.
