Renée M. Winsky
Renée Winsky is an independent consultant who frequently collaborates with Faegre Baker Daniels Consulting in projects for public sector and university clients. Renée provides guidance and assistance on technology commercialization strategies and techniques, policies and procedures to promote commercialization, and programs and strategies to promote new company formation.
Renée has more than two decades of experience in the management of nonprofit, quasi-government and government entities, building strategic partnerships, overseeing successful press relations, guiding economic and business development, and leading initiatives to increase funding and productivity. She regularly provides expert testimony, presentations and facilitation on subjects including technology transfer and commercialization, tech-based economic development, stem cell research, biosimilars, cybersecurity and entrepreneurial development.
Renée was the chief executive officer of Tech Council of Maryland (TCM), the state's largest trade association serving the advanced technology and biotechnology communities. Before joining TCM, Renée served as president and executive director of the Maryland Technology Development Corporation (TEDCO), a public instrumentality established by the Maryland General Assembly to promote economic development through the development, transfer and commercialization of technology. Renée also held the position of vice president of the information technology services division of the Information Technology Association of America (now TechAmerica). Prior to that, she worked with the National League of Cities and its affiliate, the National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors. Additionally, Renée has worked with the Maryland Municipal League and the City of Greenbelt.
