FDA Online Opioid Summit

On September 9, Faegre Drinker Partner Libby Baney spoke at the FDA’s third Online Opioid Summit — an event convening representative from law enforcement, the academic sector and social media platforms to address the availability of illicit opioids online. In a panel discussion titled “Patient Health Impact,” Libby shared insights from her work with the Alliance for Safe Online Pharmacies. Along with fellow panelists working to protect patients from illegal online drug sellers, Libby discussed the national and global efforts underway to advocate for policies to address this growing public health threat.
