Martin Interviewed Regarding Foreign Corrupt Practices Act
U.S. enforcement authorities are dedicating more resources than ever to finding and punishing violations of the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) worldwide. Recent settlements have included monetary sanctions in excess of $100 million in each case. The government is also increasingly focusing on prosecutions of individuals—and seeking jail time for offenders.
In an interview in the September issue of Financier Worldwide magazine, George Martin, co-chair of the Faegre & Benson international practice, discusses trends in FCPA prosecutions and implications for companies and executives involved in cross-border transactions.
