Four Real Estate Professionals Join Baker & Daniels Group

Baker & Daniels LLP has added four real estate, zoning and land use professionals to strengthen its real estate group. Steve Hardin joins the Indianapolis law firm as partner, Matt Skelton as an associate and Jesse Pohlman and Kevin Todd as consultants and land use planners.

"We're excited to add professionals with the skills, experience and capabilities of Steve Hardin and his colleagues," said Joe Scimia, leader of the firm's real estate group. "Their addition secures Baker & Daniels' position as a leading provider of real estate and zoning related services in central Indiana."

Hardin devotes much of his practice to real estate development, zoning, planning and land use issues. He has counseled individuals, businesses and governments in a wide range of real estate projects, particularly throughout Hamilton, Madison and Hancock counties. He formerly managed the real estate practice in the Hamilton County office of Bingham McHale LLP.

An Indiana University business graduate, Hardin spent four years in the real estate development business before returning to IU to earn his law degree in 1992.

Skelton received a bachelor's degree in urban management and policy and then a master's degree in urban development planning, both from IU. He graduated from the Indiana University School of Law in 2004. Skelton was a senior planner for the town of Westfield from 1994-2002 and zoning administrator for the city of Noblesville from 2002-04. Before joining Baker & Daniels, he practiced in real estate law at Bingham McHale.

Pohlman, who has a bachelor's degree from Ball State University in urban planning and development, worked in planning and development for Noblesville in 2002-03 and community services for the city of Carmel in 2003-04.

Todd received a master's degree in urban and regional planning from Ball State and worked in community development for the town of Westfield from 2003-06.

All four will work in Baker & Daniels' Carmel office on 96 th Street and in Noblesville to serve Hamilton County's growing real estate needs. Baker & Daniels' real estate group represents developers, contractors, lenders, landlords, tenants and property owners in a variety of real estate transactions.
