Baker & Daniels to Present Series on Workforce Issues

Baker & Daniels LLP will host a series on diversity issues in the workplace for Indiana Business Diversity Council members and human resources professionals. The series is being sponsored by the IBDC, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to educate, promote and cultivate successful minority enterprises.

Dates and topics of the series, which will run from 10 a.m. to noon at Baker & Daniels' downtown office at 300 N. Meridian St., Suite 2700, are:

  • Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2007 – Recruiting and Retaining a Diverse Workforce
  • Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2007 – Relating to the Latino Workforce
  • Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2008 – Creating and Sustaining a Culture of Inclusion in Your Workforce

Presentations will be given by Baker & Daniels' Sandra Leek, who focuses her legal practice on equal employment, affirmative action and diversity matters. With more than 25 years of experience in employment law and litigation, she counsels businesses and other organizations, trains their management teams and helps guide them through diversity programs and initiatives. Before joining Baker & Daniels, Leek served as Executive Director of the Indiana Civil Rights Commission for 13 years.
