Baker & Daniels Becomes Corporate & Strategic Partner With USA Football

USA Football, the sport's national governing body, has announced that Baker & Daniels is one of four Indianapolis businesses to join its roster of corporate and strategic partners.

"Valued partnerships with widely respected corporate citizens like Keystone Construction, the Colts, PNC Bank and Baker & Daniels stands among the many reasons why we relocated our national office to Downtown Indianapolis," USA Football Executive Director Scott Hallenbeck said. "We're proud to be associated with these community leaders who care about our city, our kids and America's favorite sport."

With offices in Indiana, Chicago, Washington, D.C. and Beijing, Baker & Daniels will propel USA Football's mission with legal guidance and support for the youth football community through USA Football communication channels, USA Football reported in a news release. As a full-service law firm, Baker & Daniels is experienced in working with clients across litigation, corporate finance, health care and life sciences, labor and employment, intellectual property, international strategy and other areas.

"USA Football provides valuable direction for the millions of players, parents and coaches who comprise our country's youth football community," said Baker & Daniels partner John T. Neighbours. "Baker & Daniels is proud to contribute legal guidance and insight for the sport's selfless volunteers."

USA Football officially moved its national office to Indianapolis in September 2010 from the metropolitan Washington, D.C. area.

USA Football, the sport's national governing body, hosts more than 80 football training events annually, offering education for coaches and game officials, skill development for players and resources for youth football league commissioners. The independent nonprofit is the official youth football development partner of the NFL and the NFL Players Association. USA Football manages U.S. national teams for international competition and provides $1 million annually in equipment grants and subsidizes youth league volunteer background checks. Endowed by the NFL and NFLPA in 2002 through the NFL Youth Football Fund, USA Football is chaired by former NFL team executive Carl Peterson.
