Faegre & Benson, a leading international law firm with offices in Denver and Boulder, is pleased to announce that RoxAnn Mack has received the Colorado Bar Association's 2011 "Pro Bono Paralegal of the Year" award. The award is presented each year to an individual who demonstrates an outstanding commitment to pro bono community service that benefits underserved populations.
Mack, a paralegal in the firm's Boulder office, was recognized for her leadership and participation in a wide range of pro bono and community service activities, including her work supporting the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, the Multiple Sclerosis Society, the Sister Carmen Community Center, and Foothills United Way. She also supported a number of Faegre & Benson-sponsored initiatives, including the Metro Volunteer Lawyers Jefferson County Post-Decree Clinic, the Project Homeless Connect Legal Team, and various asylum and veterans cases.
In addition to winning the Colorado Bar Association award, Mack was recognized in April by the Colorado Supreme Court for her extensive pro bono work. In 2010, she totaled more than 152 hours of pro bono service. In honor of the award, the Colorado Bar Association has donated $1,000 to the charitable organization of Mack's choice, the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
