Prior to his promotion, Blair served as a law clerk with the firm's tax group, drafting tax legislation and authoring briefs to taxing agencies. During law school, he clerked for the Honorable K. Mark Loyd, researching civil cases and authoring orders on damages. Blair also served as legal intern for the Indiana Department of Workforce Development, drafting memoranda of understanding and non-disclosure agreements, representing the department in administrative hearings regarding fraud and false claims, and preparing memoranda on a variety of legal issues.
Blair earned his law degree from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law in Bloomington in 2010, where he participated in the Sherman Minton Moot Court Competition and volunteered with the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program. He is a member of the Indiana State Bar Association and the Taxation and State and Local Government Law sections of the American Bar Association. Blair received a bachelor's degree in business with highest distinction from Indiana University in 2006.
Before attending law school, Blair spent two years working in finance with Emerson Power Transmission, a division of Emerson Electric Co. He also worked as office manager and chief production editor with Professional Video Services in Highland, Ind.
