With nearly three decades of experience in U.S. and international issues across the sector, Lyons brings deep insights into the processes and decision makers that shape these markets. Lyons will work with the existing national food and agriculture team that includes more than 150 lawyers and consultants across the firm, and he will work with the advocacy team to continue to deliver public policy solutions that integrate with the firm's full array of legal services. The food and agriculture industry focus goes back more than 100 years and serves clients across the globe.

Lyons said, "I have greatly enjoyed working for Louis Dreyfus for more than 25 years. FaegreBD Consulting has offered me a unique opportunity to build and lead an agriculture consulting practice, and I am very much looking forward to the challenge."
Before joining Dreyfus, Lyons held senior positions with the USDA and served as Executive Assistant to U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Richard Lyng.
