Matthew J. Piehl has joined Faegre Baker Daniels as an associate in the law firm's health care group.
Piehl will focus his practice on regulatory compliance and issues associated with federal and state laws, including the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). His experience also involves mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and compliance with the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act.
Before joining Faegre Baker Daniels, Piehl was an associate at Crowell & Moring LLP in Washington, D.C., practicing in health care and antitrust law. Before law school, he interned as a program consultant for childhood obesity initiatives at the North Carolina Office of Rural Health in Raleigh.
Piehl graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2011 after earning a bachelor's degree in biology with distinction from Duke University in 2008. He is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association.
