Four associates and one counsel have joined Faegre Baker Daniels’ product liability litigation team in the firm’s Chicago office from Locke Lorde Edwards LLP: Martha Brown, counsel, and associates Jennifer Crawford, Heather Harrison, Colin O’Donovan and Carrie Sear.
This group closely follows the addition of nine lateral partner hires in FaegreBD’s Chicago office. In the first quarter of 2015, FaegreBD’s Chicago office has added 14 attorneys.
Martha Brown brings more than 20 years’ experience in product liability and complex commercial litigation. Her practice has recently focused on asbestos defense work, and she currently manages nationwide asbestos litigation for valve manufacturers in more than 30 jurisdictions with 3,500 pending cases.
Jennifer Crawford is a litigator who also focuses on asbestos litigation. She serves on a national coordinating counsel team overseeing the defense of asbestos cases in more than 30 jurisdictions throughout the U.S. and has served as lead attorney in hundreds of asbestos lawsuits in Illinois.
Heather Harrison is a business litigator with a practice including commercial, product liability, intellectual property and employment litigation work. She handles breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, consumer fraud, shareholder oppression, securities, copyright infringement, trade secret, class action, and other commercial disputes, as well as federal government and internal corporate investigations.
Colin O’Donovan focuses on product liability litigation and brings experience defending product liability, negligence, toxic tort, premises liability and other tort cases. He also represents clients in commercial disputes involving breach of contract, indemnity actions, fraud, and breach of warranties and fiduciary duties.
Carrie Sear is a product liability litigator. She represents clients in state and federal court during product liability matters, business torts, health care disputes, corporate governance matters, trade secret and unfair competition claims, and employment litigation.
