Mark Lee has joined Faegre Baker Daniels’ intellectual property group as an associate in the firm’s Chicago office.
Lee is a patent attorney who focuses on utility and design patent prosecution both within the U.S. and internationally. He provides due diligence work regarding patentability, freedom-to-operate, infringement and patent validity.
A former patent examiner with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, Lee brings an in-depth understanding of the regulatory side of patent prosecution to his practice. His clients also benefit from his substantial technical expertise. Prior to entering the legal profession, Lee spent 15 years as an information technology consultant and database administrator. He is well-versed in a number of technical fields, including computer software and hardware systems, database management, aircraft and aerospace technology, and medical devices.
Mark earned his law degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School, a master’s degree in mathematics (with computer science) from Ohio University, and a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Tennessee Technological University.
