LCLD Recognizes FaegreBD for Contributions to a More Inclusive Legal Profession

Faegre Baker Daniels was selected by the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) as a Top Performer in 2016. The designation recognizes member organizations that went above and beyond to participate in LCLD and support its mission of creating a more inclusive legal profession.

Faegre Baker Daniels’ 2016 contributions to LCLD include:

  • Nominating an LCLD Fellow (Steven Young Reeves) to participate in a landmark program to identify, train and advance the next generation of leaders in the legal profession (since 2011)

  • Hosting 1L Scholars to work side-by-side with and learn from FaegreBD attorneys (since 2013)

  • Participating in the Success in Law School Mentoring program, which pairs diverse 1L students with mentors in the local legal industry (since 2013)

  • Selecting an LCLD Pathfinder (Stacie Gonsalves Linguist) to participate in this inaugural program to train early-career attorneys in critical career development strategies

  • Sending representatives to LCLD’s Leadership Summit and Annual Meeting

  • Individual leadership by LCLD member and FaegreBD Managing Partner Andrew Humphrey and Brita Horvath, who serves on the Corporate Diversity Professionals Data Initiative

Faegre Baker Daniels has been an LCLD member since the organization’s founding in 2009. LCLD is an organization of more than 250 leaders of major corporations and top law firms, focused on creating a truly diverse U.S. legal profession.
