Sports Business Journal (SBJ) awarded Faegre Baker Daniels partner Amie Peele Carter with the Power Players: Outside Counsel Award.
The SBJ Power Players: Outside Counsel Awards honor attorneys who engage in meaningful work and hold significant roles in the sports industry. The award recognizes attorneys for their roles in closing the largest deals in sports, and interacting with top sports executives. This year, SBJ named 59 attorneys from 33 firms for their sports-related work involving mergers and acquisitions, finance, media, labor, litigation, sponsorship, compliance, and governance. Carter was honored at the Executive Level, which represents firms and attorneys focused on specific sports-related clients and areas of expertise.
Carter practices intellectual property law with a particular concentration on the sports and entertainment industries. She counsels clients regarding trademark protection, branding identity, licensing agreements, sponsorship deals, advertising campaigns, publicity rights and other marketing-related issues.
