Diane R. Hilligoss has joined Faegre Baker Daniels as an associate in the law firm’s 96th Street office in Indianapolis, providing regulatory and compliance counsel to life sciences clients.
Hilligoss advises health care providers, suppliers and manufacturers on issues such as policy development and review; development and marketing of pharmaceuticals, biologics and medical devices; compliance with fraud and abuse laws; and compliance with federal and state reporting and transparency laws, including the Physician Payments Sunshine Act (open payments program).
Prior to joining FaegreBD, Hilligoss worked for Eli Lilly and Company in a variety of financial compliance roles, including as manager of the physician payment reporting team and as a lead auditor in the company’s internal audit organization.
Before graduating from the University of Michigan Law School in 2015, Hilligoss was a summer associate with FaegreBD’s health care and FDA practice group and a law clerk with the University of Michigan Health System’s legal office. At the university’s Life Sciences Institute, she provided the analytical framework that turned a research project into a venture-backed standalone biotech.
Hilligoss also earned an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan Stephen M. Ross School of Business in 2015 and a bachelor’s degree from the Purdue University Krannert School of Management in 2004.
