Craig Leavell has joined Faegre Baker Daniels’ intellectual property litigation team as a partner in Chicago.
Leavell focuses primarily on patent infringement litigation, but also represents both intellectual property owners and alleged infringers in all aspects of IP counseling and litigation. He has substantial litigation experience, having represented clients in district court jury trials and preliminary junction proceedings, International Trade Commission investigations, Appellate arguments before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and more.
He has earned expertise in a range of technologies including data security, medical devices and treatment methods, high-speed and cloud-based printing technologies, fiber optic communication, motor vehicle navigation, and more.

Prior to joining FaegreBD, Leavell was a partner with Kirkland & Ellis in Chicago. He holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and a J.D. from the University of Illinois College of Law.
