Laurie Schrader Awarded CFO of the Year by Indianapolis Business Journal

Laurie Schrader has been awarded 2018 CFO of the Year by the Indianapolis Business Journal.

IBJ launched its CFO of the Year awards program in 2008 to recognize the enormously important work CFOs accomplish. The selection process is focused on a CFO’s dedication to his or her organization’s obligations, their high ethical standards, contributions to the organizations’ overall growth and their involvement in the community.

Schrader oversees the firm's accounting and financial operations. In addition to ongoing and regular financial and tax transactions, she and her team are responsible for budgeting, financial reporting and analysis, and compensation support and analysis. She  has helped lead Faegre Baker Daniels and its more than 1,600 employees (including a 70-member finance team) to six consecutive years of growth in revenue and profitability.

Schrader also gives back to her community through her active involvement with St. Lawrence Catholic Church. She and her husband Brad recently co-chaired an important and successful “Making All Things New” capital campaign with another couple, raising over $1.6 million to repair aging campus buildings.

“Laurie leads by example,” said FaegreBD Managing Partner Tom Froehle. “She models the firm’s core values in her daily conduct and lives out FaegreBD’s client service culture in every possible way.”
