Anna Covert has joined Faegre Baker Daniels as part of the construction and real estate group in the firm’s Chicago office.
Covert represents clients in complex commercial and construction matters in state and federal court. She specifically handles legal issues related to industrial and commercial development, including construction defects and delay, mechanic’s liens, fraud, breach of contract, breach of warranty, differing site conditions, public-private partnerships, and surety and insurance issues.
Before joining FaegreBD, Covert was an associate at Smithamundsen, where she represented clients in commercial and construction disputes, acted as trial counsel, drafted and argued a variety of dispositive motions, and conducted and defended depositions in state and federal courts. Covert has also represented clients at bench trials. She is an Adjunct Professor at Loyola University Chicago School of Law where she coaches the civil law mock trial team.
Covert earned her J.D. from the Loyola University Chicago School of Law. She received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Missouri, Columbia.
