Faegre Baker Daniels Consulting principal Andrew Wheeler has been confirmed by the United States Senate as Deputy Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
Wheeler served as co-leader of FaegreBD’s energy and natural resources industry team, and employed his extensive background in energy and environmental policy to help lead the firm's practice by advising numerous types of clients on comprehensive legislative, regulatory and operational strategies.
FaegreBD Consulting chair and leader of the firm’s Washington, D.C. office Dave Zook said, “Andrew has served our firm with distinction. His extensive experience has benefited our clients and we wish him well as he returns to government.”
Wheeler came to the firm from the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works, where he served as majority staff director, minority staff director and chief counsel. He earned a master’s degree in business administration from George Mason University, a law degree from Washington University School of Law, and a bachelor’s degree from Case Western Reserve University.
Wheeler’s confirmation follows the President’s nomination of FaegreBD partner J.P. Hanlon to serve as United States District Judge, Southern District of Indiana. Read more.
