The award recognizes outstanding and distinctive service to the CBA. Since his admission to the bar, Calvin has served in a number of roles for the association—dedicating nearly 46 years of exemplary service to the CBA.
He is the immediate past chair of the association’s Real Estate Section. Additionally, Calvin’s contributions extend well beyond real estate and include significant involvement in regard to drafting numerous laws, which are now part of the Colorado legal system.
Furthermore, he has worked collaboratively as a member of the Colorado Secretary of State’s Business Advisory Committee for more than 15 years and is also co-chair of POETS—a group of highly respected real estate practitioners.
Calvin has also dedicated a significant portion of his career towards teaching and mentoring rising attorneys and has presented numerous continuing legal education lectures; and he presided over the 2017 Colorado Real Estate Symposium.
The CBA will present Calvin with an ‘Award of Merit’ on Sept. 28 at the association’s Annual Bar Fellows Dinner at the History of Colorado Center.
