Kate Jung Joins the IP Ranks at Faegre Baker Daniels

Faegre Baker Daniels’ cross-border intellectual property practice just secured another local talent. Kate Jung has joined FaegreBD in Indianapolis as an associate, focusing on U.S. and international patents.

Jung has experience working with clients across a broad range of electronic, software and mechanical technologies. She has provided patent services related to cloud networking, network security, system software, virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR), artificial intelligence (AI) and medical devices, among other products.

Jung previously worked as an IP associate for a full-service firm based in Indianapolis, focusing her practice on patent preparation and prosecution. She also advised clients on their IP strategy and provided opinions related to patentability, invalidity and freedom-to-operate.

Jung received her J.D. from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) John Marshall Law School, where she was the production editor for The John Marshall Review of Intellectual Property Law. She also holds an M.S. in electrical and computer engineering from Purdue School of Engineering & Technology, IUPUI, as well as an M.S. and B.S. in biochemistry from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario.
