Faegre Baker Daniels and the MESH Coalition are presenting a forum for health care executives on “cyberinsecurity” and its impact on our nation’s health care.
The health care sector is the largest segment of the U.S. economy, approaching 18 percent of the entire economy, yet it is consistently ranked as most vulnerable to cyberattacks. If left unchecked, such vulnerability can threaten patient safety and confidentiality, impede innovation and diminish public confidence. While changing health care technology plays a critical role in how we treat patients, share information and develop lifesaving solutions, these same improvements can open the door to new cyber threats and vulnerabilities, bringing added risk to our health care universe.
This forum will discuss cyber-related risks as they impact health care and provide practical recommendations for executives as they seek reasonable and responsible solutions that will mitigate these risks and advance health care cybersecurity.
The keynote speaker will be Robert Hayes, Senior Director, Global Cyber Security Group at Microsoft. Robert is a proven leader of complex organizations. Robert is an acknowledged expert in crisis management, cyber security and strategic risk assessment; he is also an international authority on policy and regulatory issues between government and industry in the internet, communications and computing sectors. Robert’s final role in government was as assistant director in British Intelligence, head of the UK National Technical Assistance Centre. In 2014 Robert became a senior director in Microsoft’s new Global Cyber Security Group where his role is to give C-level strategic advice to both public and private sector organizations.
There is no fee to participate.
