Libby Cierzniak Interviewed for "State Impact," a Reporting Project of National Public Radio

In 2010, Indiana voters passed a constitutional amendment to cap property taxes. In an interview with NPR, Libby Cierzniak, partner in the firm's Indianapolis office, explained how caps on property tax could lead to funding inequities in Indiana's public school system. She stated that "We're not addressing the inequities that are going to arise in the long-term as a result of the tax caps." Cierzniak adds that since the property tax caps have gone into effect, "we're seeing a greater reliance on referenda to help support operating funds."
