BizVoice Magazine Features the 150-Year History and Culture of Faegre Baker Daniels

BizVoice magazine highlighted a brief history of Faegre Baker Daniels in celebration of the firm's 150th anniversary. Topics covered included the firm's dedication to diversity, the firm's culture, notable firm alumni and what the future holds for FaegreBD.

Mary Lisher, whose career with the firm dates back to 1975, reflected on the job interview that led to her becoming the first female partner at FaegreBD. "When I interviewed, I felt comfortable here," Lisher said. "I felt relaxed, and I felt like being a woman wasn't going to make a difference one way or the other," Lisher said. Andrea Roberts Pierson agreed, saying, "I can't think of very many careers or firms where a woman can accomplish as much as this firm gives me the platform to do. It's a great place to work regardless of gender, but for women in particular, I think it offers enormous opportunity."

Dan Lechleiter commented on the unique work environment. He said, "It's a very ‘human' culture. I think it boils down to the fact that our culture looks at everybody as an individual. I think the culture reflects everyone's need to be human despite all the pressures we're under as lawyers."
