Can Congress Coalesce Around the 21st Century Cures Bill?

In January 2015, after almost a year of hearings and events throughout the U.S. to garner interest and input from key stakeholders, the U.S. House Energy and Commerce Committee released its first draft of its 21st Century Cures package.

Nick Manetto, Chris Leibundguth and Dave Zook co-authored an article appearing in Law360 in which they explained the key details of the nearly 400-page draft bill, which includes more than 100 provisions focusing on reforms to aid in the acceleration of developing medical breakthroughs for patients in need.
