FaegreBD Pro Bono Team Clutches Victory in Mellouli v. Lynch

In an article for the July/August 2016 edition of The Hennepin Lawyer, a pro bono team of Faegre Baker Daniels attorneys were highlighted for their tireless efforts to reinstate Moones Mellouli’s United States citizenship in Mellouli v. Lynch. After a guilty plea to misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, Mellouli was apprehended by immigration agents and deported. The case went all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court, and the team led by FaegreBD attorneys ultimately received a favorable ruling, securing justice for Mellouli and future immigrants who could face deportation for minor offenses.
