Jared Danilson has extensive experience counseling clients through corporate and strategic transactions and related regulatory matters in the insurance industry. Jared has steered major insurance companies and their holding companies through numerous high-profile mergers and acquisitions, leading all insurance aspects related to the transactions, including negotiations, due diligence and regulatory approvals.

Jared advises insurance companies and insurance holding companies on a variety of transactions and related matters, including:

  • Mergers and acquisitions involving insurers and HMOs 
  • Indemnity and assumption reinsurance, and renewal rights transactions
  • Captive insurance and risk retention group matters
  • Strategic alliances and joint ventures involving insurance business
  • Investment activities of insurers
  • Form A, Form E and other insurance holding company system issues
  • Non-controlling and minority investments in insurance holding companies
  • Corporate governance requirements

Jared also spends significant time advising clients on the strategic design and implementation of captive insurance programs, including risk management, reinsurance arrangements and domicile analysis.
