简介

John Emanuele, Ph.D., helps clients take their innovations to market, both in the U.S. and internationally. He drafts, prosecutes and manages the prosecution of U.S. and international patent applications in the biochemical, biotechnological and chemical arts. John manages opposition in foreign jurisdictions, prepares opinions on patentability, freedom to operate analysis and due diligence in many of these same areas.

John has specific expertise in the following areas and technologies:

  • Agriculturally active compounds and formulations
  • Biomarkers, diagnostic methods and reagents 
  • Human and animal nutrition
  • Genetically engineered plants and animals
  • Organic and bio-organic synthesis
  • Polyclonal and monoclonal antibody development, antibody based reagents and medicaments
  • Protein chemistry
  • Reagents and methods for use in molecular biology
  • Small molecule pharmaceuticals
  • Vaccine development and administration
  • Yeast genetics, strain development and fermentation

Past Experience

Prior to earning his law degree, John worked in the corporate sector as a research scientist in the pharmaceutical, bio-energy, food flavor and fragrance industries. John served as a post-doctoral research fellow at a major pharmaceutical company and as a senior research scientist in a start-up biotechnology company.
