Overview

Lance Lange is a lead trial lawyer who represents clients in state and federal courts throughout the United States. He has handled a broad range of lawsuits, including single-plaintiff cases, class actions, mass actions and administrative proceedings. His business cases have included breach of contract claims, consumer lending and consumer protection claims, antitrust claims, trademark and patent infringement, trade secret misappropriation, and real estate and environmental claims. Lance has represented clients in a wide range of industries, including food and agribusiness, financial services, manufacturing, media and energy.

Antitrust and FCPA Matters

Lance counsels business and nonprofit organizations on antitrust matters, with a goal of avoiding litigation. He serves as antitrust counsel for multiple national trade associations. Lance has also defended individuals in Foreign Corrupt Practices investigations before the SEC and DOJ.

Financial and Consumer Lending Litigation

Lance is the co-chair of the firm’s national consumer financial litigation team. Lance represents Fortune 500 financial institutions in litigation ranging from class actions to single-plaintiff lender liability lawsuits. Lance has managed and litigated lawsuits for leading financial institutions in more than 35 states, including claims under TCPA, RESPA, TILA, FDCPA and various other state and federal laws. Lance also represents creditors in disputes that arise in bankruptcy proceedings and in complex commercial foreclosures.

Family Law Litigation

Lance represents individuals in complex divorce and post-divorce matters, with particular emphasis on the economic aspects of matrimonial law. Lance addresses sophisticated financial issues such as valuing and dividing complex marital assets (including corporations, partnerships, professional practices and proprietorships), assessing executive compensation and benefits, coordinating tax analysis and planning, tracing assets, and drafting pre-marital agreements. Lance also represents clients in contested child custody and child support proceedings.

Appellate Litigation

Lance has handled appeals before state and federal courts, sometimes representing amicus parties.

Intellectual Property and First Amendment Litigation

Lance has represented businesses in lawsuits implicating trade and patent rights. Lance has also represented individuals and corporations in litigating defamation disputes.

Personal Interests

Lance enjoys spending time with his wife, Michelle, and children, Kelsey and Maddox.
