Erica Abshez Moran defends pharmaceutical, medical device, and food and beverage manufacturers against high-stakes complex litigation, including mass torts, product liability, consumer fraud and class action cases.

Litigation Experience

Erica is a highly skilled attorney with significant focus and experience in medical device and pharmaceutical mass tort cases. In connection with her work on these cases, she has developed a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, regulatory requirements and the complexities surrounding product liability litigation.

Erica is well versed in all aspects of the litigation process, from conducting case evaluations and providing comprehensive client counseling to drafting compelling pleadings and motions. As a testament to her strong legal research and writing skills, she is regularly tasked with leading major briefing efforts in complex cases. She routinely crafts persuasive arguments that effectively advocate for her clients' interests.

Erica has also taken on critical roles in managing pre-trial fact and expert discovery, where she skillfully navigates the complexities of gathering and analyzing evidence crucial to the success of her clients' cases. She has taken numerous depositions in the mass tort context, which has sharpened her ability to uncover critical information that can advance her clients’ position in litigation. As a well-regarded senior associate, Erica plays a critical role in developing case strategy and managing groups of similar cases as they progress in the litigation life cycle.

Finally, her valuable knowledge and experience has also allowed Erica to play pivotal roles on trial teams, participating in the strategic planning and execution of numerous high-profile cases.

Prior Experience

During law school, Erica served as an extern to the Honorable Margaret A. Nagle, Magistrate Judge for the Central District of California.

Personal Interests

As a transplant from Los Angeles, Erica enjoys the seasonal side of Minneapolis. Yes, that includes winter. She is particularly proud of raising two hardy Minnesotans, who love to play outside even when the temps are in the teens.
