Sara stays abreast of the latest insurance developments at the state, federal and international levels, which allows her to advise clients on financial regulatory reform and its ripple effects. Specifically with respect to Dodd-Frank implementation, she has helped clients develop strategy, draft testimony and respond to proposed rules and requests for comment from Congress, the FDIC, the U.S. Department of the Treasury and the Federal Insurance Office.
International Regulatory and Solvency Counsel
Sara advises clients on international regulatory and solvency developments, including the international dialogue on capital standards and resolution matters. This experience, in conjunction with her work on troubled company and insolvency matters, positions her to advise the national guaranty system on federal and international issues.
Consumer Protection Regulation
Sara helps clients with consumer protection and market conduct issues at the state and federal levels. She assesses client preparedness for audits from the CFPB, formulates responses to CFPB inquiries and implements remediation plans and compliance improvements, including examining and restructuring their internal compliance processes and procedures.
