Past Experience
Norman joined FaegreBD in 2007 and has built another national tax practice that directly competes against the larger tax industry giants. His unique ownership experience distinguishes him from the industry.
Before founding Equity Property Tax Group, Norman spent seven years as vice president of property taxes for Equity Office Properties Trust (EOP). He also was founder and president of its subsidiary, Equity Property Tax Group LLC. EOP, as a REIT, was the nation's largest publicly held office building owner and manager. His group served in revenue-generating captive consulting company servicing EOP and other non-related entities until the Blackstone buyout. Prior to EOP, he spent 18 years with Equity Group Investments, Inc. family of companies, including time in internal audit, mortgage services, insurance, and property taxes. Equity Group was controlled by the investment interests of Samuel Zell and Robert Lurie.
