Overview

Richard Tall guides financial services companies on regulatory, financing and transactional matters, including counseling on financial technology and digital currency issues. Richard also provides business-oriented advice to companies, limited partnerships and investment firms on corporate and M&A matters. He has particular experience in the renewable energy and travel sectors.

Corporate Experience

Richard has advised on many U.K. and cross-border mergers, acquisitions, disposals and other Takeover Code or private treaty transactions. He also represents clients in securities offers from unlisted bond issues to the Official List. He helps companies raise capital and access the equity markets through on- and off-market transactions and private equity deals.

Richard works with investment and real estate funds and other product providers, counseling them on structuring and managing funds throughout their life cycle.

Richard advises several startups involved in trading platforms and cryptocurrencies on the regulatory and transactional issues related to digital currency and blockchain activity.

Past Experience

Before becoming a lawyer, Richard was an officer in the Royal Navy, serving in the submarine fleet.

Personal Interests

Outside of work, Richard enjoys cricket and rugby and supports Bristol Rovers Football Club.
