Corey Uchtman helps clients with intellectual property matters, focusing on patent preparation, prosecution, infringement analysis and avoidance. Corey also works in collaboration with clients to defend against claims of infringement.

Corey’s technical expertise includes technologies relating to medical devices, software, computer systems, networks, watercraft, vehicles and HVAC.

Past Experience

Before his legal career, Corey traded commodity option contracts as a market-maker on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. He also worked as a design engineer at General Electric Aircraft Engines, where he helped develop the GEnx, an advanced commercial jet engine for the Boeing 787. His technical and professional experience gives him an insider’s perspective into client’s intellectual property needs.

Personal Interests

A certified skydiver, triathlon competitor and former professional wakeboarder, Corey enjoys golf (and is a one-handicap), ice hockey and soccer.
