Jenie Van Hampton counsels and advocates for employers in litigation in federal and state courts and administrative agencies – providing a prosecutorial perspective to help clients defend cases more effectively. She has represented institutional and individual clients in single-plaintiff, multi-plaintiff and nationwide class action cases, and she counsels clients on a broad spectrum of employment-related matters.

Jenie also specializes in Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) matters, including defending whistleblower claims.

Past Experience

Before joining Faegre Baker Daniels, Jenie served as an Assistant Attorney General for the Illinois Office of the Attorney General, defending governmental entities and individuals in employment matters. She commenced her practice at Stowell & Friedman, Ltd. in Chicago.

Personal Interests

When not delighting in her young daughter’s illustrated comics (and comical antics), Jenie can be found on a Pilates mat and sneaking in runs.
