Integrated Waste Partnership Strategy Creates Efficiencies, Cost Savings

North America - United States

Faegre Baker Daniels Consulting senior advisor Bo Kemp has positioned legacy cities with an integrated waste plan to take advantage of a network of businesses that will drive opportunity by profitably managing a city’s waste spectrum. This network of waste and waste-related businesses represents a public-private partnership model that is critical to funding and successfully executing the plan, identifying opportunities, investing upfront and operating these waste processing and disposal businesses.

The economic activity generated by this network of businesses helps to address and begin to reverse historical issues including widespread blight, inefficient waste stewardship, illegal dumping and stagnant commercial development.  The integrated waste project is expected to generate between $1 and $3 million in revenue to the city each year for the next 20 years. Faegre Baker Daniels Consulting is currently engaged with cities in the Midwest, Mountain area and the East Coast to implement this integrated waste partnership strategy.
