A global charity organization needed legal assistance with compliance in more than two dozen countries around the world including complex advice regarding corporate, labor and employment, employee benefits and pensions, government regulatory and privacy matters in each of the jurisdictions in which they were operating.
With the client's operations crossing so many borders, our firm called upon the Lex Mundi World Ready Network, recruiting 14 firms in countries throughout Africa, Asia, Central America, and South America. As lead firm, we coordinated communications between the client and Lex Mundi member firms in the various jurisdictions. In order to identify the most important risks for the client in all of the pertinent jurisdictions, the matter was broken out into four major priorities.
