In October 2014, General Mills acquired Annie's, Inc., a publicly held manufacturer of natural and organic food products, for $820 million. Our firm served as lead counsel to General Mills on the transaction.
The acquisition enhanced General Mills' growing portfolio of natural and organic products and further strengthened General Mills' market position in the area of convenient meals and snacks. Annie's is headquartered in Berkeley, California, and was established in 1989. It markets more than 145 products and is sold in over 35,000 retail locations in the U.S. and Canada.
