Zimmer Biomet Wins Summary Judgment in Hip Implant Case

North America - United States | North America | United States - Pennsylvania

In July 2015, Zimmer Biomet was awarded summary judgment by a Pennsylvania federal judge in a product liability lawsuit involving the M/L Taper with Kinectiv Technology hip implant. The Court concluded that there was no evidence of a design defect in the device or a failure to warn, and entered judgment in Zimmer Biomet’s favor as a matter of law. Our firm defended Zimmer Biomet in the matter.

Zimmer successfully defended summary judgment in the Third Circuit Court of Appeals in November 2016.
