Native American Tribe Defends Trademark Before TTAB

United States - Iowa

A Native American tribe and community received a favorable ruling from the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) when the TTAB ruled in favor of its opposition of two trademarks filed by a gaming company in July 2016. The Native American tribe argued that one of the gaming company's trademark applications for two of their casinos in Iowa violated the tribe's existing family of similarly named trademarks. Our firm represented the the Native American tribe and community before the TTAB.
