North America - United States | North America | United States - New York

A cleaning franchisor received a verified complaint with the New York State Division of Human Rights charging the franchisor with unlawful discriminatory practices related to its franchisee’s use of background checks in the hiring process. The charge sought to hold the franchisor liable as a joint employer. Our firm represented the cleaning franchisor with regard to the complaint, and the complainant withdrew the complaint within a few months.
