Trucking Company Defends Alleged Clean Water Act Violations

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) subpoenaed a trucking company's records and information about their truck wash terminal regarding alleged violations of Clean Water Act (CWA) sewer pretreatment requirements. The trucking company had recently acquired the company in question, but through a thorough internal investigation, our firm and the company successfully persuaded the DOJ that the company had implemented necessary changes, including new management and improved policies, and that they should not be subject to, or pursued for, any alleged violations associated with the prior ownership and management.
