Avaya Holdings Corp., a California-based global business communications company, completed its acquisition of Spoken Communications, an innovative contact center as a service (CCaaS) provider. The deal allows Avaya to migrate its robust global customer contact center directly into the cloud — advancing its goal of becoming the world’s preeminent cloud-based contact center service provider. Avaya will also enhance its products and services through the integration of Spoken’s proprietary and conversational artificial intelligence technology.
Avaya gains control of more than 170 patents and patent applications in the transaction. FaegreBD advised Avaya on the deal.
