Drinker Biddle Health Care Practice Ranked in The Legal 500 US

Drinker Biddle & Reath was ranked in four categories in The Legal 500 US for 2014. The Legal 500 ranks firms based on feedback from 250,000 in-house peers and on its independent assessment of law firm deals and confidential matters. The only way a firm can be ranked is on merit.

Drinker Biddle was ranked as one of the top practices in United States Fund Formation and Management in both the Mutual/Registered Funds and the Alternative/Hedge Funds categories; in Mergers, Acquisitions and Buyouts – M&A: Middle-Market (Sub-$500m); and in Healthcare: Service Providers.

In Healthcare: Service Providers, the firm was noted for its broad-ranging practice, which spans regulatory and transactional matters, as well as including experience in niche areas such as health information technology and accountable care. The Legal 500 US mentioned Doug Swill, the Health Care Group chair, for his representative experience, which includes advising a multi-state Catholic system on the sale of a New Jersey hospital and long-term care facility to a for-profit company.
